Oral communications

My topic for the day was Multicultural Diversity at Workplace. How do I find my performance? Frankly speaking I wasn't really satisfied with my presentation although my friends said I presented well. Guess I really Gabra-ed in the beginning but as I continued speaking, I managed to cope up with the flow. Personally I felt towards the ending my presentation were on the track. Well what I can say is that we can't expect for a perfect outcome for every thing. We do mistake so that we can improve, and each of us did mistakes. Its up to us either we learn or we ignore. For me, I think there are few ways not to screw up our presentation. Let me share this with you guys
1. Prepare earlier for your script, and instead of memorizing the entire script, you should just remember the keypoint you would like to deliver to the audiences.
2. Don't do it for the sake of doing it. Talk for changes, and it bring alot of difference.
3. Be confident. Confidence is the key element in your presentation.
4. Take a deep breathe before you present.
5. Ignore those scary eyes that are looking at you. Get into your topic and know your mission is to create awareness!
6. Emotion, show the Emotion that you feel when you present.
7. Feel comfortable with yourself on stage. Dare to make mistake.
8. If there are any technical error, dont freak out, relax and tell them the message you would like to deliver to them.
9. Look at your friends if they attend your presentation. Look at them and talk first, and later when you got the flow, you can look at others.
10.Hold the mike tightly when you are nervous.

This is what I learnt in my presentation. If you could do this, maybe you may improve your presentation. I hope we all can improve our presentation skills! =)
